As a student at BYU–Hawaii, what rooms can I schedule?
Depending on availability, study/practice rooms in the Aloha Center, Heber J. Grant, McKay Classroom and McKay Gymnasium buildings may be schedule during normal building hours. A room may be reserved for a block of time up to three hours. Because of the number of students who need a space, no back-to-back scheduling will be accepted. (If you have on-campus employment or a church position that requires scheduling, please refer to the other sections of the University Scheduling webpage)

Why do I need to schedule a space?
Scheduling reserves the space for your personal or group's academic use. As the campus becomes busier, rooms are not always available. Scheduling helps the university track utilization and recognize trends and needs of an ever-changing campus.

How do I schedule a room?
Scheduling a room can be done by requesting to activate your scheduling account by submitting the Student Scheduling Account Activation form. Once you receive notification that your account is active, visit Virtual EMS at BYU–Hawaii and follow the instructions. As a student, you may submit request a study room up to two business days in advance.

Can I schedule resources to use during my study time?
You may contact Media Services for access to the A/V equipment in the room at (808) 675-3855 during their normal business hours. All other resources WILL NOT be available.

Can I bring food into the rooms?
Yes, you are permitted to bring snacks or food for your personal consumption, but please remember to clean up after yourself.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Cancel your reservation by logging in to your account, clicking on 'My Events' on the left sidebar, opening up the reservation you want to cancel from the list of your reservations and click on ‘Cancel Reservation’ on the right.

Can I schedule space for personal use?
All space requested for personal use (not directly associated with your academic courses) is considered community use. Please refer to the community section of our website for more information. TVA residents, visit TVA Pavilion guidelines for more information.
